    Coffee Condensed Milk Buttercream Rocks!

You'll love this buttercream because it combines the subtle flavor of coffee with the sweet creaminess of condensed milk. It's rich and delicious without being too sweet, making it ideal for adding a special touch to your cakes, cupcakes, and other desserts. Enjoy the delicious taste of Vietnamese coffee in every bite.

Why Is This Also Called Vietnamese Coffee Buttercream?

This buttercream is called Vietnamese Coffee Buttercream because it uses the same key ingredients as traditional Vietnamese coffee: strong brewed coffee and sweetened condensed milk. Vietnamese coffee is well-known for its bold, dark roast coffee combined with the rich sweetness of condensed milk.

    Ingredients In Vietnamese Coffee Buttercream

    1. Unsalted Butter: This forms the creamy base of your buttercream. It's important to use unsalted butter so you can control how salty the frosting ends up.
    2. Sweetened Condensed Milk: This adds both sweetness and a smooth texture to the buttercream, balancing out the coffee's bitterness.
    3. Hot Water: The hot water is used to dissolve the coffee granules, ensuring the coffee flavor is evenly mixed throughout the buttercream.
    4. Instant Coffee Granules: This is what gives the buttercream its distinctive coffee kick. You can tweak the amount based on how strong you want the coffee flavor to be.

How To Make Coffee Condensed Milk Buttercream

Prepare the Coffee: Start by dissolving instant coffee granules in hot water. Make sure the granules are completely dissolved so you don't end up with gritty bits in your buttercream. Let this mixture cool down completely before using. Be sure to use your favorite coffee!

Whip the Butter: In a large bowl, whip the softened butter with a mixer until it's light and fluffy. This step is crucial as it makes the buttercream airy and light.

Add Condensed Milk: Once the butter is fluffy, slowly add in the sweetened condensed milk while continuing to mix. Keep beating until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Make sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl to ensure everything mixes evenly.

Incorporate Coffee: Finally, add the cooled coffee mixture to the buttercream. Mix it for a couple more minutes until everything is fully incorporated and the buttercream has a uniform color and texture.

    Pro Tip

Make sure the coffee mixture is completely cool before adding it to the butter. This prevents the butter from melting and helps maintain the creamy texture of your buttercream.

    Serving Suggestions

Cakes and Cupcakes: It's perfect for frosting cakes and cupcakes, adding a rich, coffee-flavored twist that coffee lovers will adore.

Macarons: Use it as a filling for macarons, offering a creamy, coffee-infused surprise in each bite.

Whoopie Pies: Spread it between two soft cookies to create delicious whoopie pies with a unique flavor.

Dessert Toppings: Dollop or pipe it onto desserts like brownies for an extra layer of flavor.
