INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat Oven: Preheat to 340°F (170°C) and grease a donut tray with 6 large donut holes.
Mix Donut Batter: In a mixing bowl, combine flour, eggs, and Nutella. Mix until smooth, ensuring no visible flour remains. Avoid overmixing.
Bake Donuts: Pipe the batter evenly into the prepared donut holes. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Allow donuts to cool in the tray for 10 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Prepare Chocolate Sauce: In a microwave-safe jug or bowl, combine chocolate and cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Let sit for 5 minutes before using.
Prepare Buttercream: Fill a piping bag fitted with a French star tip with dulce de leche buttercream or your choice of buttercream.
Assemble Donuts: Slice each cooled donut in half. Pipe swirls of buttercream around the bottom halves, then gently place the top halves back on.
Add Toppings: Drizzle chocolate sauce over the top of each donut. Garnish with chocolate sprinkles.
NOTES
Don't Overmix: Mix the batter just until the flour is fully incorporated to keep the donuts light and fluffy.
Cooling Time: Let the donuts cool completely before slicing and filling to avoid melting the buttercream.
Chocolate Sauce: Let the sauce cool slightly before drizzling to prevent it from being too runny.
