INSTRUCTIONS

Preparation

Pre-heat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
Grease and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.

Fudge Brownie Layers

In a mixing bowl, add the melted butter.
Sift cocoa powder over the butter using a mesh strainer.
Add sugar, vanilla, coffee granules, and eggs to the bowl. Mix well with a hand whisk until the batter is smooth and glossy.
Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gently mix with a silicone spatula until just combined, scraping the sides and bottom of the bowl. Avoid overmixing.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 15-17 minutes.
Allow to cool in the pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes, then remove and cool completely.
Trim the edges of the brownie and cut into two 4” x 8” pieces.

Assembly

Place one brownie layer on a serving plate.
Pipe two rows of ruffled swirls using the Kinder Bueno buttercream and a 1M piping tip.
Gently place the second brownie layer on top.
Pipe three rows of ruffled buttercream along the top of the cake.

Chocolate Sauce

Combine the chocolate and cream in a microwave-safe jug.
Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
Cool for 5 minutes before using.

Garnish

Drizzle the chocolate sauce over the cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
Top with mini Kinder Bueno chocolates.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Serve

Serve with additional chocolate sauce on the side.

NOTES

Brownie Texture: For a fudgier texture, bake the brownies for a shorter time. For a cake-like texture, bake a bit longer.

Buttercream Consistency: Ensure the buttercream is at room temperature for easy piping. If it's too stiff, beat it again briefly.

Chocolate Quality: Use high-quality chocolate for both the brownie and sauce, as it significantly impacts the flavor.

Sauce Thickness: Adjust the thickness of the chocolate sauce by varying the cream quantity. More cream for a thinner sauce.

Presentation: For a cleaner presentation, wipe the knife with a warm cloth between each cut when slicing the cake.

Storing: Keep the cake refrigerated but let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving for the best texture and flavor.
