INGREDIENTS

Cake Bars

313 g (1 cup) Nutella
2 (2) eggs large
64 g (½ cup) all-purpose flour

Optional Garnish

5 g (½ tablespoon) powdered sugar
104 g (⅓ cup) Nutella warmed

INSTRUCTIONS

Cake Bars

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of Nutella and 2 large eggs. Beat them together with a hand mixer on medium speed for about one minute.
Sift the ½ cup of all-purpose flour over the Nutella and egg mixture using a mesh strainer. This helps to prevent lumps.
Beat the mixture on low speed until just combined and no flour remains. The batter will have a somewhat runny consistency.
Preheat your electric sausage roll maker, donut maker, mini pie maker, or waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions. Lightly oil the plates to prevent sticking.
Pour the batter into the cooking device, taking care not to overfill the cavities.
Close the lid and cook for approximately 8 minutes. Cooking times may vary depending on the machine, so keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
Once cooked, remove the cake bars and allow them to cool slightly.

Optional Garnish

For serving, dust the cake bars with powdered sugar and drizzle warmed Nutella over the top. Warm the Nutella in the microwave for about 20 seconds to achieve a drizzle-friendly consistency.

NOTES

Consistency Check: The batter should be runny but not too liquid. If it's too thick, your cake bars might turn out dry.

Don't Overmix: Mix the batter until just combined to keep the cake bars tender.

Cooking Variations: If using different cooking devices, adjust the cooking time accordingly. Smaller devices like a mini pie maker may require less time.

Serving Suggestions: These bars are delicious both warm and cold. If serving cold, consider warming the Nutella before drizzling for a gooey topping.

Storing: Store any leftovers in an airtight container. They can be reheated briefly in the microwave for a fresh-baked taste.

Customize Your Toppings: Feel free to add your favorite toppings like chopped nuts, sprinkles, or a scoop of ice cream for an extra treat.
