INGREDIENTS

Chocolate Hearts

½ cup (½ cup) chocolate melted

Filling

4 teaspoon (4 teaspoon) hot chocolate powder
4 teaspoon (4 teaspoon) caramel sauce
12 (12) mini marshmallows

Garnish

1 teaspoon (1 teaspoon) sprinkles
2 teaspoon (2 teaspoon) chocolate melted

To Serve

2 cups (2 cups) whole milk hot

INSTRUCTIONS

Chocolate Hearts

Using a food-safe paintbrush, apply a thin coat of melted chocolate to four silicone heart moulds. These will form the outer shells of your hot chocolate bombs.
Once the first chocolate layer has dried, apply a second coat to ensure a stronger shell. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes until the chocolate is fully set.
Carefully demould the chocolate hearts, ensuring they retain their shape.
Heat a plate or saucepan slightly. Briefly place two of the heart halves on the warm surface to smooth their edges. This step is crucial for making a clean seal later.

Filling

In the two smoothed halves, evenly distribute the hot chocolate powder, caramel sauce, and mini marshmallows.
Warm the edges of the remaining two heart halves. Quickly join them to the filled halves. The slightly melted edges will act as glue, sealing the two halves.

Garnish

Drizzle extra melted chocolate in a diagonal pattern over the sealed hearts and sprinkle some colorful sprinkles for an attractive finish.

To Serve

Place a heart bomb in a mug and pour hot milk over it. Watch as the chocolate heart melts, revealing the delicious filling. Stir well to combine and enjoy a rich, flavorful hot chocolate treat.

NOTES

Chocolate Quality: The quality of the melted chocolate or candy melts will significantly impact the taste and texture. Choose a high-quality chocolate for a richer flavor.

Temperature Control: Be cautious with the temperature when smoothing the edges of the chocolate hearts. Overheating can cause them to melt too much and lose shape.

Filling Variations: Feel free to experiment with different fillings like different flavored sauces or various types of marshmallows.

Serving Suggestion: For an extra indulgent experience, serve with whipped cream or a sprinkle of cocoa powder on top.

Storage: If not serving immediately, store the chocolate bombs in a cool, dry place to prevent melting. Avoid refrigeration as it can cause condensation.
